The Tier 9 armor sets seem to share visual characteristics with the same armor class. You can check the examples that Blizzard shows on the official site, the Horde Shaman and Hunter are similar in appearance, looks like only the color is different. Two other examples are the Alliance Priest and Warlock, cloth-wearing classes, who look largely similar.
